Jorgen Thelin is a software industry veteran with many years of development experiences spanning mainframe operating system kernels, large-scale transaction processing systems, enterprise application server internals, and graphical rich client and web applications.
He has spent time at many blue-chip companies including International Computers Limited, NORWEB, Reuters, JPMorgan, and British Sky Broadcasting. Latterly he was Chief Server Architect at Cape Clear Software working on web services integration products.
Jorgen has worked at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, Washington since relocating to the USA from London in 2003. He is currently a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Cloud Systems team in Microsoft Research. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Program Manager on Web Service Standards and Windows Live Identity Services [aka "Live ID" aka "Passport"].
He is a Sun Certified Java Programmer, Developer and Architect, and is currently working towards the equivalent Microsoft certification exams.
