On the Eleventh hour of the Eleventh day of the Eleventh month, the UK remembers all those who gave their lives in defence of their country throughout the many wars and conflicts of recent world history, inclusing WW1, WW2 and the Falklands Conflict.
A two minute silence was observed throughout the country, as happens every year on Armastice Day (also known as Veteren's Day in the USA).
