Both of the pages contain RDF entries specifying a traceback:ping entry (taking Sam as an example, because for some reason MT does not not automatically detect the entries on Christian's page)
trackback:ping="dotnetweblogs.com/sgentile/services/trackback.aspx?postid=3331"which Moveable Type (v2.63) gives a strange error for -
Ping 'dotnetweblogs.com/sgentile/services/trackback.aspx?postid=3331' failed: HTTP error: 400 URL must be absoluteI think Moveable Type may be getting confused by these URLs, as if I manually edit the URLs to be pinged to start with http:// then everything works fine.
Certainly all the examples in the TraceBack Module specification have a http:// prefix, and the narrative description seems to imply that the contents of the traceback:ping elements should be a full URL, although it only actually describes use in an RSS feed, not the inline use in a web page.
I think we are in slightly unexplored standardization territory here, so it is not clear whether this is a specification or implementation issue. Thoughts?
