Kool-Aid and Other Interesting Phrases

I have heard several people mention "Kool Aid" recently, but as it's not a drink we have in the UK, I needed to find out some more details. So I searched around on the web for some more info...

It turns out there is a whole usenet newsgroup news:alt.drinks.kool-aid and FAQ about the drink!
The FAQ even tells you how to turn Kool-Aid into Play Dough, and how to use it to dye several things from wool to fish! That's slightly more information than I needed to know, thank you.

Of course, the main current usage of the phrase is described on the UseLand web site :

To "Drink the Kool-Aid" is to adopt a religion with suicidal zeal.

and WordSpy:

To become a firm believer in something; to accept an argument or philosophy wholeheartedly or blindly.

"Drinking the Kool-Aid" is a phrase that has been used about Apple and Microsoft several times, as well as many other hi-tech firms.
