I have heard several people mention "Kool Aid" recently, but as it's not a drink we have in the UK, I needed to find out some more details. So I searched around on the web for some more info...
It turns out there is a whole usenet newsgroup news:alt.drinks.kool-aid and FAQ about the drink!
The FAQ even tells you how to turn Kool-Aid into Play Dough, and how to use it to dye several things from wool to fish!

Of course, the main current usage of the phrase is described on the UseLand web site :
