I spent this morning visiting Init AB, one of Cape Clear's partners in Sweden. They are doing some really interesting work on a project with the government to make publicly available the results of the Swedish referendum on whether to adopt the Euro. Voting is happening on 4th September 2003, and Init are developing and running a web service to allow newspapers and media companies to access the results in real time. That's a pretty cool application to my mind! Governments around the world seem to be really getting into all this XML and Web Services stuff in a big way.
