Spent most of the day on a trip with Mark through the archipelago from Stockholm to Sandhamn via Voxholm. It was an absolutely gloreous trip, and the sun shone all the way there and some of the way back.
We were in Sandhamn at just the right time to see the start of one of the legs of the Volvo Baltic Ocean Race, and there were certainly a lot of boats involved. We have seen the contentors in Stockholm harbour the night before, so this completed the picture for us.
It must be something in my genes (my family name is from Sweden), but I did feel a great affinity for the lakes and forest landscape. I spent most of the outward journey outside on the viewing desk just watching the scenery go by and taking lots of photos.
