Movable Type v2.66 has being released, which includes some extra anti comment spammer facilities such as a "comment throttle" (restricting the time between comment posts from the same IP address) and using redirected referrer links on comment entries in an attempt to prevent the Google PageRank boost which is why most comment spammers post in the first place.
I've installed it, and I recommend all other MT users to do the same too.
