Two New WS-* Messaging Specs

Two new specs joined the WS-* family of specs today to provide some higher order messaging facilities:

Web Service Enumeration (WS-Enumeration)

WS-Enumeration enables an application to ask for items from a list of data that is held by a Web service. In this way, WS-Enumeration is useful for reading event logs, message queues, or other data collections.

Web Service Transfer (WS-Transfer)

WS-Transfer defines how to invoke a simple set of familiar verbs (Get, Post, Put, and Delete) using SOAP. An application protocol may be constructed to perform these operations over resources.

There's all sorts of interesting things that can be done using these new specs. Watch this space!

Jorgen, it may be me (it often is) and I know its late so I scanned read the top blurb, but I'm not seeing what ws-enumeration really provides? It seems that ws-transfer 'GET' could just as easily return a infoset that's a list of items from, say an event queue. What am I missing? It also seemed that the first WS-request returned a response that required a new request to actually enumerate the data? Did I interpret that right?
