WS-Management

Today AMD, Dell, Intel, Microsoft and Sun released the first version of the WS-Management spec (PDF). This addresses one of the last remaining concerns around the WS Architecture.

Designed to scale from small footprint controllers to enterprise class servers while maintaining security, WS-Management will help to create a common way of surfacing management-related operations and events within connected systems.

WS-Management
This specification describes a general SOAP-based protocol for managing systems such as PCs, servers, devices, Web services and other applications, and other manageable entities.
