Last weekend, we received a very nice letter from the US Citizenship and Immigration Service containing the following:
WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
This is to notify you that your application for permanent residence has been approved.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to permanent residence status in the United States.
Much to our surprise, our "green cards" (which are not actually green!) arrived in the mail this week.
So we can now add the title "Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) of the United States of America" to our many other credentials. :-)
